Leadership Coaching, Assessments, and Facilitation for Black Women Leaders
Leadership in white spaces asks a lot of Black women.
Not just your skills, but your judgment, your energy, and often your sense of self.
If you’re feeling the weight of that while also trying to lead well, make decisions, and support your team, you’re not alone in it.
TL;DR
- I’ve spent more than two decades working inside nonprofits and foundations, leading teams and shaping strategy.
- I understand how these environments function. And I understand what it takes to lead within them without losing yourself in the process.
- Today, I work with Black women leaders and their organizations to help them lead with more clarity, alignment, and sustainability.
- My work is built on one belief: that when Black women are free to lead as themselves, they become better leaders and build better teams.
How people usually find their way here
- People usually reach out when something needs to shift.
- You may be trying to make a decision about what comes next in your role or career.
- You may be leading a team that feels out of alignment or harder to manage than it should.
- Or you may be carrying the pressure of leading in spaces where you are one of few, and trying to do that without overextending yourself.
How I work
My work typically takes three forms.
- I facilitate retreats and learning spaces for teams and boards that need honest conversation and clearer alignment.
- I use leadership assessments to help leaders and teams understand how they are functioning and where there is room to grow.
- And I provide coaching for a small number of leaders who need dedicated space to think, process, and make decisions.
If you’re trying to decide what kind of support would actually move things forward, here are a few ways we might work together.
Ways to Work With Me
Facilitation
Creating spaces where real conversations can happen
For teams navigating transition, misalignment, or decisions that need real conversation
Retreat and cohort facilitation designed to move teams toward clearer alignment and next steps.
Leadership Assessments
Clarity on how you and your team actually function
For leaders and teams who need a clearer understanding of how they’re functioning
Research-backed assessments with debriefs that connect results to your real leadership context.
I also offer:
- Leadership Labs & Cohorts – These are purposeful, time-limited, learning-centered engagements for individual leaders and organizational cohorts.
- Leadership Coaching – I offer individual coaching for Black women navigating leadership in predominantly white or inequitable environments, for a limited number of leaders who want clarity, sustainability, and a practice that actually fits who they are.
- Strategic Advising – This offering is for individual donors, foundations, and intermediaries committed to resourcing the South and aligning their giving with justice and long-term impact.
What Grounds Our Work
This work is built on five conditions: Awareness, Alignment, Authenticity, Abundance, and Accountability. Together they form the #LeadFree framework, a way of leading that is honest, sustainable, and grounded in who you actually are, not who the system expects you to be.
This work is for Black women in leadership, values-aligned funders, and organizations ready to lead with clarity, care, and shared responsibility.

Where I’ve Shown Up
I’ve logged more than 900 coaching hours working one-on-one with Black women leaders across the social sector. I hold an ACC credential with the International Coaching Federation and am a 21/64 certified philanthropic advisor. I’ve been a grantmaker, a capacity builder, a board member, and a strategist, which means when I sit across from a leader navigating something hard, I usually already understand the terrain.
